Kyle Busch has been asked to not partake in any races outside of the Cup series this year. The expansion of his race team couldn’t have come at a worse time for this request to be handed down from Gibbs and Mars. Taking his own name off the possible driver list will put a huge dent in the sponsorship search. Either way he looks to have lined up some great drivers rather quickly; and could have two owners championships easily with top talent going down in competition to race for him.
Cup Series Update
Aric Almirola is the rumored driver for the #43 next season. This is expected to be announced this weekend.
Kurt Busch is the driver of the #51, but will do some driving for Kyle Busch Motorsports in the Nationwide series.
Nationwide Series Update
David Ragan is the leading candidate to drive #88 for Jr. Motorsports with Almirola leaving for Cup. Cole Witt is also being rumored.
Kurt Busch is still being rumored as the driver for Kyle Busch Motorsports with a sponsorship from Monster Energy Drink. He is also being rumored to drive for points in the Nationwide series instead of Cup due to the unlikelihood of winning a championship racing for Finch.
Truck Series Update
Jason Leffler is leading the race for the KBM truck team driver position. He would be leaving Nationwide but would be in much better equipment.
