Alan Kulwicki 1992 Champion

It’s been 20 years since Richard Petty raced in NASCAR. Even more importantly, it’s been 20 years since a champion, taken much too soon won his cup title as a driver owner. It all happened at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Thanks to Hooter’s for believing in a small upstart NASCAR team, and more importantly giving up “Polish Victory Laps” and someone to aspire to be as a start-up company.

RIP Alan Kulwicki. We’ll always wonder how many more you could have won.

  1. I think about Alan a lot. Can’t believe it’s been that long…..a piece of my heart died when he left us. But that Hooters 500 was the GREATEST NASCAR race ever!!
