Well Atlanta came and went without much excitement. A late caution took the win away from Truex Jr. and placed it in the hands of Denny Hamlin.
Richmond is next week, the last race before the chase. Four guys are in need of a win to get a spot in the chase, so hopefully we’ll see those guys battle it out. The top 10 also can carry win points into the chase, so they might have an all or nothing strategy.
Cookie Cutter tracks are the biggest problem in NASCAR, fans are tired of seeing them and I’m pretty positive drivers are tired of racing them. Nothing is going to change though because the company heads at NASCAR are too afraid to move away from these places.
