Junior dos Santos vs. Cain Velasquez
Raise your hand if you saw, or heard about JDS knocking Cain into last year in the last fight. Yeah, he’ll do that again. I don’t think Cain has anything that JDS can’t handle. The guy has BJJ he’s never showcased in the octagon. I think if Cain takes him down he’s getting subbed out. I really don’t think Cain gets him down. JDS TKO Round 1. Still champion.
Joe Lauzon vs. Jim Miller
Unlike the main event, this one I could go either way on. Both guys can pull off crazy submissions and have the capability to make this fight an all out grappling match. Miller is probably going to look to decapitate Lauzon, but if Joe Lau can avoid it, I think his ground game is just good enough to be slightly better than Miller. Lauzon submission round 2.
Tim Boetsch vs. Constantinos Philippou
You’re kidding right? Boetsch TKO round 2. Philippou looks to be decent against decent competition. Tim will dispell that.
Alan Belcher vs. Yushin Okami
I believe this fight wins fight of the night, or is awful. Okami needs to get a big win here or he’s going nowhere fast. Belcher hasn’t lost since 2009. I think Belcher has the skills to grind the fight out and take a decision. Finishing Okami is never easy, but taking him the distance is the way to go.
Derek Brunson vs. Chris Leben
I think you’re all going who the fuck is Derek Brunson, right? Okay well he’s from Strikeforce and has lost his last two, the most recent was a 41 second affair which ended when he was looking at his eyelids for too long. Chris Leben is by all accounts clean and ready to fight. He’s knocked out some of the toughest people in the UFC and will send Brunson back to the minors. Leben by TKO round 2.
